As the winter weather takes hold, numerous fixtures across the country are being postponed each week. And whilst England’s top leagues will remain unaffected by the heavy rainfall and frozen pitches, spare a thought for the lower league clubs in English football, who have neither the funds nor facilities to take such action.

Formed in 1860, Cray Wanderers are the oldest football club in London and the second oldest in the world. Currently sitting second bottom in the Ryman League Division One North table, the club look to be struggling. But they have a bright future ahead of them with a new stadium planned and Vice-Chairman David Francis is an integral part to the proposal.
