Man injured by Rhino

A middle-aged male has been rushed to hospital after having a run in with a Rhino at Whipsnade Zoo, Bedfordshire.

This morning the zookeeper was ‘immersed in water’ by the mammal, suffering injuries to his chest abdomen and pelvis.

He was stabilised at the scene but taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further treatment.

The Zoo announced in their annual stocktake of animals that a four week Rhino, less than three feet tall weighs 9 stone, indicating the size of the mammals.

The man is said to be in a serious, yet stable condition.

According to Sky news, ‘the incident is being investigated by the Zoological Society of London’
